We in the Midwest love the fall. Most of us do anyway. Enjoy this time of year no matter where you live.
Although the weather here tells us it is time to go dormant, the energy of the season, the nip in the air, and the "start of a new year" school mentality means it is also a time of new beginnings.
Revel in them.
"When your heart speaks, take good notes."
~Judith Campbell
I would like to add: when your heart speaks, take action.

People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. I don't believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and if they can't find them, they make them. --George Bernard Shaw

Lyrics to love....
Here's wishing you the bluest sky
and hoping something better comes tomorrow
hoping all the verses rhyme
and the very best of choruses to
follow all the doubt and sadness
I know that better things are on the way

JOY FROM YOU
The Dilemma You're driving on a wild, stormy night. You pass a bus stop and you see three people waiting for the bus: 1. An old lady who looks as if she is about to die.
2. An old friend who once saved your life.
3. The perfect partner you have been dreaming about.
Your car can only fit one passenger. Who do you offer a ride?
This question was used as part of a job application. The candidate who was hired (out of 200 applicants) had no trouble coming up with his answer. He simply answered: 'I would give the car keys to my old friend and let him take the lady to the hospital. I would stay behind and wait for the bus with the partner of my dreams.'
Great solutions some when we break free from thought patterns and limitations!

WORD NERD
Hobnob (verb)
Pronunciation: ['hahb-nahb]
Definition: To take turns drinking to or buying drinks for each other; to drink together.
Usage: Someone who hobnobs is a hobnobber and his behavior may be characterized as hobnobbery.
Suggested Usage: Keep in mind that the basic meaning of today's word (currently) is to drink together, "Let's go to the pub this weekend; we'll hobnob and watch some football on TV together." The implication is that those involved will take turns buying the drinks.
Hey locals, let's hobnob Saturday night. Mr Big Stuff Band is playing at Shooters (Don Carter Lanes) around 9 pm.

Last week when I arrived in San Diego, the shuttle took me from airport to car rental place. After an hour wait for a car, I was delighted when the guy behind the counter announced that he shared the same birthday with me (10 years younger). He upgraded me to a white Mustang convertible. Thanks Birthday buddy!
