Sun! It has returned!

Driving with the windows down is the official sign of spring.
Here in the midwest, we have a word for the emotion that comes with spring: Yay.

Washing the windows at home, doing yard work, washing cars in the driveway....spring has sprung. (I have not done those things, but I seen my neighbors.)

I have cruised in the joy mobile with the windows down and enjoyed drinks at the outdoor bistro and walked the park. I am starting to think about flowers....

No matter where you live or what your climate, I hope you have several yay occasions this week.

Words to ponder:

Be yourself.
That way you never have to remember who you are.

Have I mentioned that my smart and I celebrated one year on Feb 28? Still in love! Almost 20,000 miles. This is not just infatuation. This is the real thing.

Dates are for having fun, and people should use them to get to know each other.
Even boys have something to say if you listen long enough.

Quote Junkie
"Poetry is, above all, a singing art of natural and magical connection because, though it is born out of one's person's solitude, it has the ability to reach out and touch in a humane and warmly illuminating way the solitude, even the loneliness, of others.

That is why, to me, poetry is one of the most vital treasures that humanity possesses; it is a bridge between separated souls."

~Irish poet Brendan Kennelly

Joy =French Lesson
Read. Anything. Poetry this month and every month.
The French are well read and love to discuss.

Joy = Never Give Up
The video of Britain's Got Talent contestant Susan Boyle is showing up in my inbox a lot and I just watched last night at a friend's house. Yep, Susan has talent. And the song is I've Got a Dream from Les Mis. How poetic.
Her performance video click here. And her reaction to all the web hits is another video clip with Diane Sawyer on ABC Good Morning America.

Joy = Tax man
FYI - Tax returns filed timely. Yippee skippee.

Courtesy is owed. Respect is earned. Love is given.

Only two kinds of people wear cowboy hats: cowboys and assholes.

It takes a real dumbass not to understand the value of an education.

Every journey of a thousand miles begins with a cash advance.

You're born alone and you die alone, so you might as well get used to it.

Piece of advice: Never eat a sandwich bigger than your head.

Atheist tombstone: All dressed up and no place to go.

Only write for those who can read between the lines.
