My eyelids are heavy....
All the travel this past month must have tired me. I took the red eye home Sunday night; Monday I went to bed at 8 pm (I never turn in early) and didn't get out of bed until noon.
Ahhh...
Once again, I think I need my beauty rest. See you after a short siesta....

"A since-childhood friend and I were trying to retrieve some bit of trivia from the past. Since both our mothers died just in the last year (and well into their 90's), we lamented that we no longer had that unique source of information available. We agreed it was like losing our own personal google, that fount of years-back knowledge. No more "I'll check it out with Mom, she knows all that stuff" !!"

| What brings me joy lately?
* scoring a half-price ticket to Cirque de Soleil's LOVE (think Dr. Seuss on trippy drugs with a Beatles soundtrack.)
* scoring a ticket to the sold-out country music awards show in Vegas
* scoring with the cute bartender. kidding! just curious if anyone reads this part.
* getting the last seat on the last flight out of Vegas for the night
* hanging with Toby.

April 7 was the birthday of filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola. At age 30, he was in debt to the tune of $300,000 and his career as a filmmaker seemed to be a dead end. Then he was offered the job of directing a little movie you may have heard of.... The Godfather. The rest, as they say, is history.
