 Open House / Public Meeting (May 6) -- The New Hampshire and Maine Departments of Transportation are jointly studying the future of the Memorial (US Route 1) Bridge and Sarah Long (US Route 1 Bypass) Bridge across the Piscataqua River between the two states. One of the alternatives involves closing the Memorial Bridge to vehicular traffic. MaineDOT and NHDOT requested a study team to better understand the economic importance of the bridge to businesses in nearby zones in Portsmouth and Kittery.
Both Evan Richert and Charlie Colgan will be attending an open house and public meeting today to answer questions and give a brief presentation on this important issue.

 Maine Beaches Association Hospitality Training & Activities Expo (May 11) -- This will be at The Coastal House on Route 1 in Wells, Maine from 1:00pm-6:00pm. This event is free!   Candidates Meet & Greet (May 13) -- From 5:00 - 6:30pm get one-on-one face time with candidates for Congress, Governor & Maine State Legislature. This event is sponsored by The Greater York, Ogunquit & Wells Chambers. After the Meet & Greet, from 6:30 - 7:00pm Curtis Picard, Executive Director of the Maine Merchants Association, will be doing a presentation on the "Yes on 1" campaign to repeal the expansion of the sales tax. Both events are at the Cliff House Resort & Spa.
 Icebreaker (May 19) -- This event will be from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Bangor Savings Bank at 2 Moulton Lane in York, Maine. Parking at St. Christopher's Church.  Gateway Farmers Market (beginning June 5) -- This year our Farmers Market will be running every Saturday from June 5 - October 9 from 9:00am - 1:00pm. The Market is held here at the Chamber in the parking lot and back hill. Local farmers & speciality food producers sell their fresh fruit, vegetables, pies, breads, meats & so much more!
