If you want to get your year started off right, use the simple exercise in the feature article this month. It's straight to the point and when you're done you'll have your 2009 goals complete!
My personal wish for you is that as you kick off 2009, you allow yourself to feel a sense of satisfaction and joy (yes joy!) about your experiences and accomplishments in 2008- even if you didn't quite complete everything you thought you would.
Start your 2009 off by choosing to have a full perspective as opposed to a "half-empty" one. It is altogether too easy for us to skip the acknowledgement of what we did complete and achieve and go straight to focusing on and beating ourselves up for the few things we didn't do. That creates a negative, joyless and empty environment. I say enough of that! As you work on your goals for 2009 take a moment- or two or three- to feel good about it.

Your life has many parts to it- all of which are important. How do you possibly make progress in each area this year with how busy you already are?
Rather than setting out to accomplish 5-10 things in each area, which for some reason I used to think was realistic, simply identify 2-3 things in each area that you would like to complete by the end of the year.
