The monthly E-newsletter, Neat Work, consists of articles about Wabanaki historic art and cultural objects that exist in private or public collections. Of course the owners of all objects featured in the articles have given permission for this use. There are many people, native and non native, who admire the beauty of the traditional Mi'kmaq, Maliseet, Passamaquoddy, Penobscot, and Abenaki hand crafted art and cultural objects. Through these objects our history is integrally linked. Neat Work also contains book reviews, information about up coming exhibits, and cultural events that the readers have offered to share.
Of course there is also a link to our website in the newsletter where you can learn more about the services provided by Gaby Pelletier Wabanaki Material History Consulting such as: consulting on private and public collections of baskets, beadwork, moose hair embroidery, bark work, quillwork, stone pipes, etc.; public presentations, exhibit proposals; and accession reports on ethnology collections.
