When we lived in the town of Vermilion we had a neighbour who had 2 cats. They did not like each other at all. The one cat, Bailey, came to visit us, alot. In a very short time we came to love Bailey, and he moved in. Even our other cat, Four By Six, (yes, 6 toes on each foot) came to love him. Luckily when our neighbour moved, she allowed us to keep Bailey. He was truly a gift from above.

Sadly only a year later, Bailey crossed over. Very suddenly and unexpectedly. Hubby and I were devastated. For anyone who has fur-kids - you understand the pain we went through. A few days after his crossing I allowed myself to grieve. I mean really grieve. I laid on the floor and sobbed and screamed. It went on for quite some time. When I had no energy left, I asked Bailey to give me a sign he was OK.

That night I went out with some friends for a girls night. It was so nice to have fun and laugh.  

In the morning hubby told me that he had a strange thing happen to him the night before. (he knew nothing of my request for Bailey to give me a sign) He was surfing the internet when his computer froze. When he restarted it, his printer printed out a picture of Bailey!!!!

Hubby was so confused because he wasn't printing pictures when his computer froze - in fact he hadn't done anything with his picture file for a few weeks. Yet here was a picture of Bailey - looking up. I started to cry tears of joy! I knew this was Bailey's sign to me that he was OK, and now all I needed to do was look UP - and he would be there.

Hubby offered to print me off a better quality picture but I said no. This is the picture Bailey sent me, and to this day, I still have it hanging up.

Of course as my grief got less and less it was easier for me to connect with Bailey on my own, but in that time, when I needed a tangible sign, he was able to bring it to me.
