Sept/Oct 2009 Phoenix Rising Newsletter

I am very honoured & grateful to say that September is the 7th Anniversary of The Healing Room. Wow! When I started my business I didn't spend much time thinking about what it may become. I was more focused on getting it going. Now when I look back I am truly amazed.
Did you know that for the first 9 months I was open the only 2 services provided were Reiki and Clinical Hypnotherapy? In my 10th month was when I started offering Spiritual Medium readings. What an amazing journey it has been!!
A wonderful sign of how much my business has grown is that I have hired an assistant. Her name is Dawn and she will be answering all my emails, phone calls, setting up appointments, etc. Welcome Dawn!
Although I am very happy to have her as part of my team, it was a huge step for me. It felt like I was handing over a part of myself as I discussed the responsibilities with her.
When I asked my team about it they explained my difficulty was in "letting go of control." So as I meditated on that I realized that everything does run so much smoother when we hand it over to someone who has more skill or interest in that area. We often try to do it all ourselves, learning to multi task when we were young, but it isn't always the most efficient use of our time or energy. Plus if we don't like doing something - say house cleaning - then when we do it our energy vibrations drop, causing us to feel unhappy or frustrated. If we handed that over to someone who loved to do it (yes there are people in the world who do!) then our vibrations stay high, and they bring in a wonderful energy while they are doing it.
In a broader sense we each have a HUGE team of Angels, Spirit Guides, Spirits (loved ones who have crossed over), Divine Energy, etc - who all want to help us with those things we can't do ourselves & make easier the things we can. All we need to do is ask.
Recently I started two different To Do lists that I add to everyday. One is for me - the things I need to do, and the other is what I want my "team" to do.
For example my list has things like writing this newsletter, sending a birthday card, & washing the windows on it. My Team To Do list says to help me with my list, to infuse me continuously with the perfect vibrations to be the healthiest, happiest, peaceful, loving and kind person I can be, lovingly bring to me many wonderful, beautiful opportunities & the time and resources to do them that will inspire myself and the world, etc. I even had on there to bring me the best assistant - and they did!
I encourage you to take a look at your life - what can you hand over to someone who would love to do it? What help can you ask for from your team? What is on your To Do List that would be so much easier with help from above?
