Wow what an exciting year 2009 has been for Getloaded.com! We are really pumped about some great new features we just launched so be sure you check 'em out.
Our newest feature is Dual Leg Results! This feature automatically creates a comprehensive route with multiple destinations versus the tedious and time consuming need to schedule each haul separately. It really is an industry changing feature so make sure you read all about it below!
Our resident industry expert, Tim Brady, shares his expertise about "Riding the Recession Roller Coaster". This feature is similar in concept to travel services which allow for multi-city booking. By adding the convenience of dual leg results, Getloaded.com can automatically create a comprehensive route with multiple destinations versus the tedious and time consuming need to schedule each haul separately.

Riding the Recession Roller Coaster

The thought of riding a roller coaster leaves me with memories of the stomach in the throat, white knuckles, sweaty palms, and sheer fear of what's over the next rise or around the next corner. Kinda like what trucking has been for the past year and a half: fuel prices headed again into the stratosphere, available freight scraping bottom and freight rates leaving our stomachs in knots-well, like a roller coaster.

Getloaded.com introduces the new feature "Posting Templates" to save transportation companies and truckers time by allowing them to create and save templates for commonly posted loads and trucks. The Posting Templates function, now available for all Getloaded.com members, will save the critical information entered so that it may be used multiple times with future postings.

Last quarter we introduced you to Leighton Shank, the Manager of Product Development. This quarter we want you to meet another Loady who is on the Human Resource side of the equation.  Getloaded.com Truck Stop Tour - Life on the Road!

Life on the road is tough. Don't kid yourself if you think otherwise. Most people get excited about the notion of doing a road trip only to get two days into it and realize it really isn't that glamorous after all. And those folks usually sleep at a hotel, not in the back of the vehicle. I've done several lengthy road trips over the years, most associated with my days moving around while in the Navy. I've driven cross country (Richmond to San Diego) and back. The first time was with my wife and two dogs and the second time I drove solo. My wife and two dogs were smart and flew.
