Country Papercraft's
December Mid Monthly Newsletter
December 15, 2009 |
Hi
HO! HO! HO! It is only 10 days until the Large Jolly Man all dressed in Red & White comes a knocking! Are you organised??? I am not - seems like only last weekend the kids went back to school for the start of the year - and over here in the west they finish up on Thursday! Where has 2009 gone?
January is quiet time for the Designers - we will be only releasing the one newsletter next month, with the kit release - but don't despair they are working flat out behind the scenes organising for next year - with new challenges, new comps, and planning the Awesome Designer Kits for next year!
It is also a sad time for us, but a very exciting time for Lynlee - Lynlee is leaving the Design Team, to branch off in to her own business. Lynlee has been a huge asset to the Design Team with her inspirational layouts and support. As many of you wouldn't know Lynlee has been designing the Kits for most of 2009, and her eye for colour and items that co-ordinate is awesome. Lynlee you will be sadly missed from the team!!!!! We wish you all the best for your future business adventures - we know you will be very successful in everything you do! Thanks for being such a pivotal part of our Team - and a great support to us all! GOOD LUCK! Make sure you drop in and visit us when you aren't too busy!
So from all of us, Marg & the Design Team - Michelle, Deb, Leonie, Lynlee & Michelle F we wish you the safest and happiest Christmas, and here's to an absolutely fabulous 2010!
Until next time....
Stay safe 'n' happy scrapping

SCRAPPIN' AT THE ROCK
With the Shop now up and running, Marg is able to cater for mini retreats more often, rather than a couple of large camps twice a year. This means there are more times available for you to choose to attend a Scrapping Retreat at Country Papercraft.
Marg has dates available, so why not grab a group of friends, and chose a date that suits you and scrap for the whole weekend. Any one who attends one of the scrap retreats always come away learning something new, making new friends, and having a whole lot of fun.
For 2010 dates email Marg - countrypapercraft@reachnet.com.au

A RECIPE TO SCRAP
We enjoyed using the last recipe that we were challenged with - that we decided we would do it again for this newsletter.
So our Recipe consisted of:
Use at least 3 of the following 6 items on a lo:
1. Use the word father or
dad in your title or journaling. 2. Use plaid, argyle, paisley, or diagonal
striped pattern paper. 3. Use white space. 4. Use a metal
embellishment. 5. Use distressing. 6. Use mixed alphas.
NAUGHTY OR NICE - created by Michelle FMichelle uses some older Scenic Route Papers to create her layout. LIFE IS LIKE RIDING A BICYCLE - created by Michelle M
Michelle uses a photo that Michelle F took on a family outing. It is part of the photoswap held in the forum recently. Michelle uses Pink Paislee's Amber Road Collection, AdornIT & Basic Grey Alphabets

OUR XMAS TREE - created by December Guest Designer BARBIE (aka Scrapping Queen)

DAD'S SERVICE TRAINING - created by December Guest Designer LEANNE
Leanne uses Bella's Sarah Jane papers, Tim Holtz Adage Tickets
THANKS TO BARBIE & LEANNE FOR BEING PART OF OUR DESIGN TEAM FOR THE MONTH OF DECEMBER!

Quote Challenge
Quotes are a great source of inspiration, and also an important part of scrapbooking - they can say so much about a layout, a feeling, a moment in time. Deb will each month be challenging us all to use a particular quote in our scrapbooking. Even, if at this time you are unable to scrap with the quote, make sure you write them down for a time when inspiration strikes.
This month's quote is:
'Whatever you do may seem insignificant to you, but it is most important that you
do it.' - Gandhi
CELEBRATE - created by Michelle F
Michelle uses Basic Grey & Webster's Pages paper, Prima Transparency & Blossoms to created this stunning layout

ADVICE - created by Deb
Deb uses Scrap Within Reach 'Industrial Park' papers, Basic Grey Chipboard, AdornIT alphabets, KAISERscrapbook's Q2 Rubons.
