October's Designer Kit Release Newsletter
October 01, 2009 |
Hi
It is that time of the year again when our thoughts start head towards Christmas. I swear Christmas comes earlier each year. Today as I wandered through the supermarket there were Christmas decorations and cards everywhere. It is that way too in the scrapping world, with loads of companies releasing their Christmas ranges. There are so many great ranges that will be hitting our shores shortly. So make sure you continue to check the "What's New" Section in the shop.
The shop has been busy - with many mini retreats being held on the weekends. Marg is in the process of organising next years dates - so if there is a particular weekend that you are interested in, contact her to let her know of the date you would prefer.
We hope you enjoy the layouts that the Designers have created this month with the October Designer Kit and Add on Kit.
Stay safe 'n' happy scrapping

Blog Sketches
This year, the Designer's thought that they would have a go at creating some sketches for the readers of the blog. So each week we will be posting a new sketch by one of the Designers - and hopefully a layout using the sketch. But that depends on the busy schedule of the Designers - But we promise you there will be a SKETCH each week. So why not jump on over to the BLOG and check out each week's sketch. |
DESIGNER SKETCHES
Each week one of our talented Designers comes up with a sketch for the blog. This month we challenged Lynlee to create a sketch for the Designers to use in this edition of the Newsletter.
Lynlee's sketch is fantastic, giving all the Designers a create base to create their layouts upon. Lynlee's creation is in the Designer Kit Section above with her layout titled 'Smarty Pants'
IN FOR 2 - created by Deb
Deb uses Bo Bunny's Slam Dunk Papers and We R Memory's MVP range
ON THE WAGON - created by Leonie
Leonie uses Collage Press Knave of Hearts Range & Cosmos Cricket Papers. She also uses Basic Grey Piper Alphabets and Adorn It alphabets
19/12/1981 - created by Marg
Marg uses Basic Grey Papers, and the new Brown Crochet Lace that is available instore now.
Thanks for the awesome sketch Lynlee. I hope you all find it inspiring and don't forget to share in the Gallery if you use it. |

I CHALLENGE YOU -
After the huge success recently where the Designer's challenge each other to create a layout - We all decided that it would be fun to do this again. After all putting on our thinking caps - we tried to come up with a challenge each to really put each other to the test!
HOLIDAY MAGIC - created by Marg Lynlee challenged Marg to create a layout with a photo larger than 6 x 4, 1 piece of patterned paper, eyelets and stamping.
Marg uses Basic Grey's new Eskimo Kisses Paper.
LOVING THE SCOOTER - created by Lynlee
Lynlee was challenged by Deb to do a layout using Patterned Paper from 3 different manufacturers, 3 photo's, a 3 word title and use only 3 embellishments. The 3 pp's are by Cosmo Cricket, Collage Press and Crate ( 3 C's...lol), Basic Grey chip alphas, and Carolee's tiny alphas, a chip bird from Cosmo Cricket, an October Afternoon card, the frame is a Melissa Francis one that is painted, then added an image from Cosmo Cricket, and added Crackle Accents to the centre, not that you can see that in the scan, but it looks like broken glass.
WALKING FOR GOLD - created by Deb
Deb was challenged by Leonie to create a layout using a sketch (which is in Deb's layout post in the gallery - click on her layout to view it) She also had to use spring colours - but was not allowed to use her favourite colour 'blue'
Deb uses Fancy Pant's All about a Boy paper range.
