Welcome to this new month - where has the year gone? It all seems to happening way to fast.
Okay onto new things - WELCOME TO KIM AHERN - our 3 Month Guest Kit Designer - Kim was the winner of the CPC Design School Competition held recently.
Here is what Kim has to say about herself:
"Nearly 4 years ago I had scrapped a "This is Your Life" album for my
hubby's 40th but it was extremely basic, as I didn't realise there were
actually scrapbook shops out there and it wasn't a serious hobby. Then
about a year ago, a girlfriend 'reintroduced' me to scrapping, showed
me teh shops and I became addicted. Then, about 6 months ago, she
introduced me to online scrapping and I'm now addicted to that! I love
it! My inspiration is my 3 year old son, Luke, as I'm scrapping his
life for him.
I don't think I really have a 'style' as such but
I love colour, the brighter the better! I'm really into cutting up pps
at the moment, alpha minis & thickers, and kindyglitz. My LOs are
mainly boy pages, and I'm quite happy to add flowers and glitter to
those pages now. I'm also getting into shaped LOs and I have to
'distress' nearly all my photos around the edge, to give them that
'white frame'."

Blog Sketches
This year, the Designer's thought that they would have a go at creating some sketches for the readers of the blog. So each week we will be posting a new sketch by one of the Designers - and hopefully a layout using the sketch. But that depends on the busy schedule of the Designers - But we promise you there will be a SKETCH each week. So why not jump on over to the BLOG and check out each week's sketch. |

USE YOUR STASH -
This newsletter feature was for the Designer's to use up some of those extra bits that you have in your stash and often forget they were there. So the challenge this month was to combine Blossoms (who doesn't have oodles of these), Embossing Powder (yes again, but who knows how to use it? - not me!) and Foam Stamps (admit it - how many sets do you own?) Lynlee shows us how to combine all these elements together to create this very funky layout!
