Introducing....
Hi

Marg has been very busy in the shop over the last few weekends holding her mini scrapping retreats.  From all accounts everyone is having a blast - and learning many new techniques.  If you wish to hold a mini retreat with your friends, simply contact Marg for the dates available.

The Design School has finished - and we are very proud to announce the winner of the Design School - who will be Guest Kit Designer with us for the next 3 months.  Read on further to find out who the winner was.  As a special bonus we have offered the chance for everyone who took part in the Design School to be part of our monthly newsletters - by giving them Monthly spots in the newsletter - so keep your eye open for the Special Guest Layouts in up and coming newsletters.

Until next time....

Stay safe 'n' happy scrapping

SCRAPPIN' AT THE ROCK

With the Shop now up and running, Marg is able to cater for mini retreats more often, rather than a couple of large camps twice a year.  This means there are more times available for you to choose to attend a Scrapping Retreat at Country Papercraft.

Marg has dates available, so why not grab a group of friends, and chose a date that suits you and scrap for the whole weekend.  Any one who attends one of the scrap retreats always come away learning something new, making new friends, and having a whole lot of fun.

CHECK OUT THE TENTATIVE DATES HERE
Surprise Designer Competition

Each month one lucky shopper is chosen as a Surprise Designer.  It is simple to enter, all you have to do is register in the FORUM and then place an order in 2 consecutive months.  There is no limit to the amount you spend each month, just place an order. Each month one lucky shopper is chosen and when they receive their order in the mail they will receive a Surprise Designer Kit.  All you do then is create your layouts, cards, mini albums, what ever you wish to create with your kit.  Unlike the Designer kits you may add whatever elements you wish with the kit to create your layouts.

Congratulations to this month's SURPRISE DESIGNER - Lisa Eaton!

Unfortunately, there is little interest in the Surprise Designer Kits - so they will no longer be available for sale through the store.  WE WILL BE CONTINUING WITH THE SURPRISE DESIGNER - SO PLACE YOUR REGISTER AND PLACE YOUR ORDER TO HAVE A CHANCE TO WIN THE SURPRISE DESIGNER KIT!

IT'S ALL CLEAR TO ME

The Designer's were challenged this month to use clear products! Anything clear. With so many clear products on the market it can all be a little confusing on which is the best to use or how exactly to use it.

The most popular clear products on the market include Heidi Swapp Ghost Shapes, Alphabets, and clocks, Hambly Transparency borders, frames and the like - actually there are way too many to list.

After Design School, Michelle has continued with the Recycled theme and created her own Ghost shape from a plastic water bottle - which she has put through the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder.

Michelle uses the Fancy Pants Papers, Green Tara blossoms, Tim Holtz Adage Tickets, Basic Grey Chipboard Alphabets, Adorn It Alphabets.

Challenge the Designers

What would you like to see in the Newsletters? The Designers are always challenging you to create layouts for competitions and challenges, so now is your turn for payback.  The Designers will choose which challenge they would like to do and create layouts for the Newsletter.  So make sure you challenge them HERE, and keep your eye on the Newsletter to see the Designers squirm with your challenges.

Today's Designer Tip

Sticker Art! Don't just randomly place your stickers on a page, use them as a group, a border or as an enhancement to your title or journaling. Don't feel like you have to use all the stickers on a strip - sometimes one or two is all you need. It is also fun to mix different sticker designs. I like to draw "doodles" around my stickers to better integrate them into my page design. One of the easiest ways to become a "sticker artist" is to use border rulers and fine tip pens with your stickers.
Quote Challenge

Quotes are a great source of inspiration, and also an important part of scrapbooking - they can say so much about a layout, a feeling, a moment in time.  Deb will each month be challenging us all to use a particular quote in our scrapbooking.  Even, if at this time you are unable to scrap with the quote, make sure you write them down for a time when inspiration strikes.

This month's quote is:

'The best and wonderful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart' - Helen Keller

FLOWERS FOR MUM - created by Lynlee

BLOG SKETCHES

Have you discovered the "Weekly Sketches" on the blog yet?  Each Tuesday one of the Designers will have a new sketch on the blog.  Just something to give you a little inspiration to scrap.

Colour Combo

This month's colour combination was a mix of Browns, Blues, Reds and Creams.

ALMOST {to double digits}  - created by Leonie

Leonie uses Crate Paper's Lillian range, along with a Cosmos Cricket paper, that she had in her stash. The stamped images are from Marg's stamp collection that Leonie went through whilst at camp. The ribbons are the recycled Bamboo Ribbons that Leonie won at camp.

USING UP YOUR STASH

The Designers have discovered they have way too many older products in their stashes, so in order to make room for all the new products coming onto the market in the near future, we were challenged to use up all our older product ranges.  This newsletter we were challenged to make a dent in our Sassafrass Lass

WINDOW SHOPPING - created by Marg

Marg has used Sassafrass Lass 'Indian Summer' papers, along with Tim Holtz Grungeboard, Adage Tickets, Darkroom Door Photostrips, Adorn IT alphabets.

PRETTY IN PINK - created by Lynlee

Lynlee uses her favourite range of Sassafrass Papers to create this gorgeous layout of Georgia. She also uses Thickers & Adorn IT alphas, Heidi Swapp and Green Tara blossoms, that she has stamped with the Delish Script stamp.

THE ONLY WAY IS UP - created by Deb

Deb uses Sassafrass Lass Robotic Paper to create this double page spread for her home renovation album.
