Hi
The Design Team have had a busy time over the last month - creating bright and funky layouts using the NEW JUNE DESIGNER KIT - scroll down to see all the work they have created.
They have also been busy, heading back to the classroom to take on the roll of Design School Teachers - from all accounts the 'students' are loving their assignments - and the product of their hard work can be seen in the gallery. So why not pop on over and have a look.
Scrappin' at the Rock - there are still places available at each of the retreats - contact Marg to book your place. Or if these dates do not suit you, gather up a group of friends and set your own day with Marg to head on over for a day or 2.

With a Song in my Heart!
Music can provide such inspiration in scrapbooking. Whether it be the title for your layout - or simply the words provide the journalling for your layout. When you hear a song, does it bring back a certain memory or time. The Designers this month were encouraged to create a layout using MUSIC or SONG as their inspiration.
HOPE IT GIVES YOU HELL! - created by Julie
Julie uses Crate Paper to create her song inspired layout. These photos of Matthew fitted perfectly with the song 'GIVES YOU HELL' by the American Rejects. Julie uses the chorus line as her Title/journalling.
MISUNDERSTOOD - created by Leonie
Leonie uses Sassafrass Lass Vintage Yummy papers. She says this photo of Kloe having a sook, inspired her to use the words from Kid Rock's 'Blue Jeans and a Rosary'.
7 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU - created by Michelle Michelle was inspired by the words of Miley Cyrus' '7 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU' after constantly hearing it being played by her daughter - which inspired her journalling on how she couldn't find 7 things about her husband to hate. Michelle uses Scenic Route papers, Heidi Swapp, Carolee's Creations Sticker & Thicker Alphabets.  WILD THING - created by Deb Deb was inspired by the song 'WILD THING' sung by the Troggs to create this layout. Deb has tinted her photo a green shade to suit the Grease Monkey range of papers from Bo Bunny, along with Carolee's Creations Tiny Alphas. |

Blog Sketches
This year, the Designer's thought that they would have a go at creating some sketches for the readers of the blog. So each week we will be posting a new sketch by one of the Designers - and hopefully a layout using the sketch. But that depends on the busy schedule of the Designers - But we promise you there will be a SKETCH each week. So why not jump on over to the BLOG and check out each week's sketch. |
May 09 .... It's a DATE!
This month the Designers were asked how would they use a date or calendar as a feature on their layouts. It is interesting to see how they all used this.
10 June '95 - created by Deb
Deb uses her date as the main feature of her layout - creating the title. She uses DreamStreet's Art Noveaux papers, Grungeboard, Glimmermist in Suede (a highly recommended colour) & KAISERcraft Pearl Strips.
41 Weeks - created by Michelle
Michelle uses the date in a time fashion - stating a time in weeks. She also features a calendar with her 'supposed' due date circled. Daisy Bucket Designs 'In the Meadow' papers are featured on Michelle's layout, along with KAISERcraft & Maisy Mo Rub-ons.

Lynlee has used the calendar page as her main feature on her layout - it tells the story of the date that she capture her lovely photo of her daughter. Lynlee uses Cosmos Cricket 'Everafter' range of papers, Green Tara Blossoms, and Cuttlebug's Butterfly Cutting & Embossing Die.

| Designer's Tip
If
you still have some of your photos in the old magnetic albums here is a
great tip for removing those photos. Your photos might appear to be
stuck to the pages in these albums. Simply take some waxed dental
floss and gently work the floss back and forth under your photo this will help to release the photo.

USE YOUR STASH - KAISERscrapbooking!
This newsletter feature was for the Designer's to use up some of that KAISERscrapbooking & KAISERcraft stash that we all keep for good. You know those papers you buy that you think are just too good for that normal everyday layout. "Well if you don't use them now - when will you ever use them" is the new Motto for the Designers!
