How are we all? We are very pleased to announce that our effort for the BUSHFIRE APPEAL last weekend resulted in $503.00 being raised to send off to the Red Cross in aid of all those who suffered great losses in the Black Saturday Bushfires. Congratulations to Robyn who won the Silent Auction and scored herself a great bag of Scrapping Supplies, kindly dontated by Marg, the raffle of a prize pack donated by KAISERcraft was won by Mel, a first time scrapper who went out to the shop for the Instore Scrap-a-thon! Congratulations to you both! Here are a couple of photos from the Instore Scrap-a-thon! Until Next Time

March Designer Kit
This month's kit is consists a black, grey, white and red mix of Damask printed papers, with a certain regal feel to them. The Designer's were all very eager to create with these kits once they received them.

3 Paper Challenge....
With so many DOUBLE-SIDED Papers on the market we thought we would see how we would all go creating layouts using just 3 pieces of paper - the trick was to make sure that we used both sides of each piece of paper, effectively giving us 6 patterns to work with. Thrown into the mix also was the fact that we had to use a LARGE photo!

Love how Leonie has used a 'french title/subtitle' on her layout, she has used Crate Papers "Lemongrass" range and some letters from Basic Grey, KAISERcraft Rhinestones, Heidi Swapp flower, KAISERcraft flowers, Versacube Pinecone ink and stamps from her stash.
{Scooby Do} WHERE ARE YOU - created by Michelle
Michelle has used a large photo that was 'automatically' taken on the Scooby Do Spooky Coaster at MovieWorld on her recent holiday. She has used Cosmos Cricket's 'Haunted' range of papers, which she thought were very appropriate for this photo. Michelle has also used Bo Bunny's Halloween Rub ons, Carolee's Creations Sleek Alphabet and Tiny Etched Alphabet stickers.

Lynlee has used K-ology Papers, Vintage Music Paper, Transparencies that she has made herself using Heidi Swapp Stamps, Tim Holtz Grungeboard that has been inked with a few different colours and sprayed with Gold Glimmermist.

What would you like to see in the Newsletters? The Designers are always challenging you to create layouts for competitions and challenges, so now is your turn for payback. The Designers will choose which challenge they would like to do and create layouts for the Newsletter. Blog Sketches
This year, the Designer's thought that they would have a go at creating some sketches for the readers of the blog. So each week we will be posting a new sketch by one of the Designers - and hopefully a layout using the sketch. But that depends on the busy schedule of the Designers - But we promise you there will be a SKETCH each week. So why not jump on over to the BLOG and check out each week's sketch. |
Mini Albums...
Mini albums can make the perfect gift, or can be used to mark a special occasion such as birthday, engagement or just the first day of school. This month the Designers were asked to give us a couple of examples of ways to create or use mini albums.
Julie has used a KAISERcraft Clear Album to create a perfect present for her DH as a VALENTINE'S DAY present.

Glimmermist - a fantastic new ink on the market...
But, it goes everywhere! I have learned this from error! But the trick is to save those BIG plastic containers that Fancy Pants Stamps, Foam Shapes or Chipboard Alphabets come in. These make the perfect MIST TRAY. Simply pop your item you want to Glimmermist in the Plastic Tray, spray and allow to dry. No more Glimmermisted fingers, arms and feet.
