"The Ride" - The Boulder Cycling Club Newsletter 2011 - Issue No. 1
NOTES FROM THE PREZ:

Happy New Year's to all! Hopefully everyone got out and enjoyed the warm weather of December and maybe got a few cycling oriented presents to enjoy in 2011.

We are very excited about the upcoming year. Some new things we are rolling out this year include:

Winter Bike to Work Day - Even though it's been a mild winter for the most part so far it's amazing how many full time bike commuters we have in Boulder. Riding through snowy, icy cold conditions is very impressive and we take our hats off to all these full time bike commuters out there! See below for details!

Women's Only Rides. Rolling out in March we will have several rides a month for our women members! Look for more information in future newsletters and watch for updates on the calendar on the website.

The Annual Preseason Kickoff Party
will be held at a new venue on March 1, 2011 at Bacaro Restaurant from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Put it on your calendar now. We look forward to seeing everyone and sharing fine Italian food and refreshments from our friends at Bacaro.

The Boulder Cycling Club has submitted the final paperwork for Non Profit Status and we expect to be approved in early 2011. Remember it is a new year and time to renew your membership! Help support us so we can can continue to add more benefits for our members It's easy to renew online.

Photographer Peter Wayne has contributed to our club enhancing the website with cycling oriented photos. Check out one of his great photos below .Thanks Peter for your contribution of cycling photos.

ABOUT US

The Boulder Cycling Club is a non-profit organization managed by volunteers.  Our mission is to create a more livable community by promoting health & recreation through bicycle activities, advocacy, & education. The BCC provides a safe and social alternative to the competitive riding style of most clubs.   We are more about fun than competition.  Our rides are no-drop tours that leave you time to look at the scenery and chat a bit.
