Boulder Cycling Club Newsletter - Spoke'n Word 2010 Issue No. 7
Free Bike Maintenance Clinic

small logoBicycle Village is providing this clinic free to our members from 6-7 pm on Monday, April 26. It will cover tire/tube repairs and the basic preventive maintenance to keep you from breaking down on the road. You do not need to bring your bike as BV will supply them.

Their mechanic will address specific issues raised by participants. In addition, BCC members will get two tubes for the price of one. If your tire repair and bike maintenance skills are rusty, please join us to brush up; it will save you, and possibly the group, some aggravation.

All Club rides are no drop, so members are expected to do what they can to avoid holding up their group. This means: 1) showing up with well-maintained bikes with fully inflated tires; 2) choosing the right group (A or B) based on the Club's minimum fitness standards; and C) knowing how to change a flat quickly. Ride Leaders will assist with tire repairs, but members are expected to do it themselves.

Watch for tire repair tips between now and the clinic in the Spoke 'N Word Newsletter.
