Boulder Cycling Club Newsletter - Spoke'n Word 2010 Issue No. 7
Weeknight Rides Start at 5:30 pm

small logo The days are getting longer, and we want to make the evening departure times more convenient for members with a 9-5 work schedule.  All three evening rides will leave at 5:30 until it starts getting hot, including the Tuesday Boulder Beer Ride, Wednesday Margarita Ride, and the Thursday Bacaro Ride. The weather is looking good this week, but remember that rides may be cancelled due to bad weather, so please check the Club Calendar before going to a ride.  See our "Ride Cancellation Policy".

First Margarita Ride This Week!

small logoSalt or no salt?  That's an easy decision, just like deciding to go to the first Margarita Ride of the year.  Steve Crider will be leading the ride, and he knows the trails and paths north of Boulder better than anyone.  This is a mountain or hybrid bike ride with mostly dirt roads and some trails.  Meet at Serrano's in the Gunbarrel Shopping Center at 5:30 pm on Wednesday.  Members get a discount at Serrano's.
1.5-2 hours.

Road Construction Alerts

small logoBoulder County is starting off the 2010 construction season with a bang, as they replace two bridges along popular cycling routes.  Both bridges are expected to be open to traffic by the end of June with improved facilities for cyclists.

In the meantime, both the 95th Street bridge south of Pike Road in Longmont and the Niwot Road Bridge over the Feeder Canal will be closed to all traffic. Cyclists are urged to use caution around both pr
ojects, especially the Niwot Road Bridge Project Updates are available on the county website:   www.BoulderCounty.org/transportation

Please use caution when riding and remember, "Courtesy is Contagious!"
