BLUE RIVER CENTURY

Looking ahead, the Blue River Century is coming up quickly on June 20 in Keystone. Marie and her volunteers are working hard to get ready and we want to support her and the Lance Armstrong's Livestrong Foundation. The club has formed a team to ride together in the event and will be sponsoring a pre-ride celebration the night before in the River Run complex.

If your interested in participating in the event please contact donald@bouldercyclingclub.com
TWO GREAT RESOURCES...
small logo

The site www.RoadGuardian.com is a tool cyclists can use to report, mark and share cycling incidents and trouble spots.  Once shared, cyclists can use the information to plan safe routes to ride by avoiding potentially risky routes.  The goal here is to save cyclists' lives and make cycling safer for everyone.

Aggressive Driving Hotline
Open for Bicyclists' Use
Bicyclists have an important tool available to help keep roads friendly. Bicycle Colorado worked with the Colorado State Patrol to ensure their "Star CSP" Aggressive Driver Hotline also takes reports from bicyclists on the roads. We have a full description of how to use this tool at www.BicycleColorado.org/to/starCSP. Here is a brief outline.

If you encounter aggressive motorist behavior, simply dial *CSP (*277) on your cell phone.

When dialing *CSP, be prepared to communicate:
 · License plate number - this is required to file a report
 · Location and direction of travel
 · Vehicle and driver description, if possible
 · Description of aggressive driving behavior
ROAD TO VICTORY A SUCCESS!

The Road to Victory charity ride to support the Davis Phinney Foundation for Parkinsons Research was last Sunday and a big shout out to Marcus and all the volunteers that put on a great event! Doubling the participation over last year the ride was well organized and I must save the first stop in Niwot had one of the best breakfast food of any event I've ever ridden in!

Lots of cycling celebrities turned out to support the ride. The Boulder Beer Company opened it's doors on a Sunday to host the event and Jeff Brown and company once again showed his continued support of the cycling community.
