Notes from the Prez:
Govenor Bill Ritter surprised everyone by signing the Bicycle Safety Bill early this week! He was originally scheduled to sign it in early June.
We congratulate our friends at Bicycle Colorado that worked so
hard on getting this bill through the legislature. For more information
on the bill see the Daily Camera article
that appeared earlier in the week. I'm quoted in the Camera article
stating that the majority of cyclists are "very conscious of safety"
and won't take advantage of the new law. I do believe as our club motto
states that Safety First is the key when your out there on the
roadways. This bill gives more protection to the cyclists and hopefully
might cut down on that small segment of the motorist community that
have abused the rights of cyclists in the past. Click here for more.More and more people are starting to come out and join us for the
weekly rides! It's great seeing folks from past years and meeting the
new cyclists that are starting to come out and ride.
Let's take advantage of this warming spring weather and get out there
and RIDE MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
See you on the bike,

RIDE YOUR BIKE IN THE BOLDERBOULDER
|
|
Would you like to ride your bike in the Bolder Boulder
and help out a good cause? This might be the only way you'll ever ride
your bike in the Bolder Boulder! Our friend Herschel from the Boulder
Mountainbike Alliance is helping to coordinate the wheelchair racers
bike support team. You essentially follow a wheelchair racer and provide
whatever support they might need. If your interested in volunteering
please contact me and I'll pass your information along to Herschel!
Thanks again to Herschel and his involvement in this very helpful event! |
