Hi Everybody,
A final reminder that the Boulder Cycling Club End of the Season Party is Tuesday November 11, 2008 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at
Boulder Beer (located on Wilderness Place). We hope you can come out and
celebrate the end of another great cycling season here in Boulder.
Free food will be available while it lasts (so come early) and happy hour prices on drinks will be available all night. In addition, we will be giving away free door prizes throughout the evening.
We want to thank Boulder Beer for sponsoring the event at their location and all who have donated the prizes!
Saturday Morning Ride sponsored by Bicycle Village
The Saturday morning ride sponsored by our friends at Bicycle Village continues throughout the winter season. In case of inclement weather (especially wet weather)
the ride is replaced by a free spin class at the YMCA conducted by
George. Meet at Bicycle Village 10:30 for the spin class. This is a
very popular class and only has 20 machines so get there early to sign
in! The Saturday ride is anywhere from 25 plus miles at a moderate
pace. It is a no drop ride so no one gets left behind. Ride leader Paul
is very good at keeping an eye on the group and someone always rides
sweep to make sure the group stays together. The typical ride usually
takes a break midway for a coffee break
and socializing. For instance, last Saturday we rode out to Louisville
and stopped at a coffee shop on Main Street for a nice break. We have
been very lucky with moderate fall temperatures and I find by dressing
in layers you can ride in relatively cool temperatures. When we started
out last Saturday it was in the low 50's yet I was very comfortable.
Hope to see you out there on the road or in a spin class this
fall/winter. Team Garmin - Chipotle Team Garmin - Chipotle professional cycling racing team based in Boulder will be having a night of celebration on November 22, 2009 at the Boulder Theater. The proceeds will benefit the Children's Hospital.
Their will be an exclusive preview of Sundance Channel documentary and
an open question and answer session with the team. In addition, the new
2009 Garmin - Chipolte will be introduced including new talent and
returning members from a very successful 2008 team! For more
