Issue: #23 August/2008
The Boulder Cycling Club was well represented at this past weekend's Tour de Cure Charity Ride for the American Diabetes Association. I saw a lot of folks in team jersey's and we were represented in all the different ride length's. So far as of Tuesday the they the team raised $6,394.00!!!

I want to especially thank Todd Ulrich for his amazing amount of work in both putting together the team and getting team jersey's and providing a a table for us to promote the club. Todd was one of main chair persons helping with the organizational aspects and I must say it was incredibly impressive. Special kudos to Charlie and Randy who came all the way from Baltimore and Boston to ride in the Tour de Cure.

Not only did the ride raise over $500,000, but theythey put on a fantastic ride with tremendous support on the course and a fun almost carnival-like atmosphere after the ride complete with music, food (5 selections from different vendors) massage area, every kind of power drink you can think of and multiple booths displaying Diabetes oriented materials. I look forward to being even more involved next year and raising even more money!

Remember the Buff Classic Ride is coming up on Sept. 7th and if your planning on riding make sure you sign up under our team name. Click here for mote info

We have 5 rides on tap this week and remember the summer is coming to a close and the day length is shortening so hurry up and get out there before you know it our window of opportunity for these evening info@bouldercyclingclub.com rides will be closing. Several people have expressed interest in riding with Michelle in ladies oriented mountain biking ride. If your interested send us an email at info@bouldercyclingclub.com and we will forward those to Michelle and she will contact you.

We are working on upgrading the website. Keep posted as you'll soon see a new format. Also, we are looking for sponsors that would be interested in advertising on the new website. If you know anyone that might be interested in advertising on the site please have them email us at info@bouldercyclingclub.com.
