AIDT Outreach
|
AIDT staff participated in Operation Grateful Heart by donating toys and helping sort and load. Over 4500 toys, books, and stuffed animals were collected at the Capital for the annual Christmas toy drive. After toys were collected, they were sorted and orders were bagged and filled according to sex, age & organization. Toys were distributed to families identified at Maxwell/Gunter AFB as well as Fort Rucker and several local reserve units that have been deployed. Upon meeting the needs of the military families the remainder of the toys were distributed to other groups such as: CAVHCS, Gibbs Village, The Family Sunshine Center and Corrections (children of inmates).
