Chamber Small Business Council Legislative Sub-Committee Holds First Meeting of 2008
The Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce Small Business Council Legislative Sub-Committee had a candid conversation about the state's budget situation during its first meeting of the New Year, held January 10th at the Chamber. Plotting a small business legislative strategy for the coming year, group members voiced the importance of creating revenue generators while at the same time cutting expenses in mediating the current budget crisis. The group agreed to continue monitoring the issue, with a focus on maintaining many of the tax provisions the Chamber has supported in the past.
