Fingerstyle Virtuoso, Chris Proctor, May 7
If you like to play or just listen to great acoustic guitars, here are a couple things coming up:

Chris Proctor in a House Concert
Friday, May 7, 7pm  at the home of Bill & Deb McKean, 2885 Solari Drive.
Fingerstyle Guitar Champion Chris Proctor has been compared to Leo Kottke.  This will be his second time visiting Reno, and he always puts on a fantastic show.  Advance tickets are $15 (available here) or $20 at the door.  These house concerts are always loads of fun.  Bring your favorite beverage, meet new folks.  Info: 775-348-4692

Bluegrass Guitar Class Apparently, there was some confusion about the dates for this class for this month.  So, we're holding an extra session of the class this Saturday, April 10, 3-6pm (and no, I won't bring the puppy this time!).  We'll be covering two tunes this class---Dark Hollow and You Are My Sunshine.  Fee is $20 per month, and that includes two 3-hour classes, tablature for tunes and a CD with practice tracks.  The practice session for these tunes (and any other tunes folks want to work on) will be held on Friday, April 30, 7-10pm.  No need to pre-register, just come on by.  Classes are held at 850 Atlas Ct. in Reno.  Directions here.  More info here or call 775-348-4692.
Still Seeking Performers for Americana Festival!

We're diligently writing grants and seeking corporate sponsors for our 3rd Annual Americana Festival in Historic Virginia City, to be held Friday - Sunday, July 9-11, 2010.  Things are shaping up nicely, and we want as many artists to be able to perform as possible.  So, please let us know if you (or anyone you know) might be interested!  And mark your calendars and tell all your friends!  Send email to us or call 775-348-4692.
