"The Del Williams Band"
    (from Northern California)
Authentic, traditional bluegrass like was heard "way back when".  Del is the son of the late, bluegrass legend, Vern Williams, and was literally raised on bluegrass music.  This band DEFINES the bluegrass sound!

Del Williams Band performs on Saturday at 7:30pm AND on Sunday at 1pm

"Jessica Kilroy & The Herl Brothers"
       (from Montana)
Winners of the 2008 "String Summit" in Portland, OR. and coming to us fresh from Telluride---these kids are taking the bluegrass world by storm!  Jessca has been compared to Alison Kraus and Emmy Lou Harris.  Fresh and new, yet honoring the traditions of the music we love.

Jessica Kilroy & The Herl Brothers perform on Saturday at 6pm AND will offer a workshop on songwriting and putting a band together on Saturday at 11:30am

         "Contraband"
               (from Nevada)
Reno's own eclectic and crazy band of doctors---it's hard to describe what they play.  It's a little bluegrass, a little Irish, a little folk, a little rock n' roll.
A LOT of fun!

Contraband performs on Saturday
at 2pm
Plus seven other great bands from northern Nevada and California.
See the line-up here
Festival Schedule is here.

Only $35 for a Weekend Pass!  Daily rates available, too. Online ticket orders here, or pay at the gate.
This is the best bargain for a Weekend Festival in our region.  Compare to Grass Valley (tickets start at $100) and Plymouth (tickets start at $100).

Give yourself a "mini vacation" and come on up the hill to Virginia City (less than 20 miles from Reno).  Everything in this little mountain town---restaurants, shops, saloons, lodging---is within walking distance of the festival, so bring a lawn chair and park your car for the day or weekend.  Bring a sweater, too---nighttime temps are in the 40's.  Plenty of food and libations available.

Of course, there will also be JAMMING 'round the clock---in the park, in the campground and at the NEWLY REMODELED Red Dog Saloon (up on C Street---the main drag in town).
