UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY - there are still openings (probably due to the economy) in the most prestigious bluegrass music camp in the world, Steve Kaufman's Acoustic Camp in Maryville, Tennessee. The only "complaint" I've EVER heard about this camp is that there are too many people there (because it sells out every year). But this year, there are still openings in all classes. Here are just a few of the world renowned instructors who teach at this camp---Dan Crary (guitar), Bobby Hicks (fiddle), John Reischman (mandolin), Bill Keith (banjo), Kathy Chiavola (songwriting/singing). Plus many more! Go here for more info.
Clogging Classes! Learn Appalachian clogging - the historical style of dancing to traditional fiddle music. Great exercise, great fun! Gives you a whole new activity to do at jams and festivals! Beginner classes offered in two locations. Check out the website here or call or email Bonnie: clogreno@charter.net or (775) 972-0583 Tickets now on sale for Chris Proctor house concert. U.S. National Fingerstyle Guitar Champion and Windham Hill recording artist will be here on May 15! Advance tickets-$15. At the door, $20. Go here for tickets and more info. |
