----------- Bluegrass Guitar Class will take a month off in April. We'll have a practice session on April 3, but then we won't meet again until mid-May. So practice lots, and get ready to learn lots of new tunes, starting in May! -----------

Thursdays and Sundays, Celtic Sessions (or, "Seisiúns") up at the Lake (Tahoe, that is). There is a lively community of musicians who play Irish music at both the north and south ends of the lake. Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday, April 2-6, The Underscore Orkestra from Portland, OR. This eclectic young band will be performing at a variety of locations in our area, including Davidson's Distillery, Baxter's Bistro, Temple Sinai and the Studio on 4th Street. Playing an eclectic variety of acoustic instruments (violin, flute, harmonica, accordion, clarinet, guitar and banjo), they play a blend of klezmer, balkan, gypsy jazz and swing tunes.. There will also be some folk dance instruction at the Temple Sinai event. Sunday, April 5, 5:30pm "Spring Fling" Contra Dance at the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada, 813 N Carson St, Carson City. Contra dancing is easy and fun. If you can walk, you can contra dance!
