March, 2009 Announcements

We've launched a brand new website just for The Americana Festival!
See the line-up!  Find out about all the events---dances, workshops, concerts!

March is the last month to get your
"Early Bird Passes" to the Americana Festival!
Prices for the Weekend Passes will increase on April 1.
If you just want to attend one or two of the individual events (there are 6 separate events included in the Weekend Pass), you'll be able to purchase individual event tickets
starting April 15---but they'll be $20 apiece ($30 for the Saturday night concert).
So $70 (the Early Bird price) for all six events is a GREAT DEAL!
Better yet is the Early Bird Couple price---only $110 for 2 people!

We are saddened by the news of the passing of Gary Elder, great bass player and regular attendee to the Slow Jams and the Maytan jams.  We have many wonderful memories of Gary, his ready laugh and kind words of encouragement.  He was always eager to learn new tunes and provide a steady, solid bass for us.  Gary was a member of the Northern Nevada Bluegrass Association and attended many bluegrass events in northern Nevada.  His wife, Sheary said he really enjoyed the people he met and the jams he was able to attend.  Our deepest sympathies are extended Sheary and their children.
Sierra Acoustic Music has made a contribution in Gary's memory to the Northern Nevada Bluegrass Association (http://www.nnba.org)
