Contra Dancing!
If you've never done it, this is your month to try it out!  There are two dances this month---one in Carson City on Sat. March 1 and one in Reno on Sat. March 8

And if you want to learn to play in a Contra Dance Band---come to one of our many jams!  We play a combination of bluegrass standards (with singing) and traditional dance tunes.  There are over 10 jams this month, from Carson to Reno (both north and south) to the North Shore of Lake Tahoe.  Please join us!  No matter your ability level, we'll help you "pick it up"!
Since we've become a 501c3 non profit organization, we have been writing grants and partnering with other local organizations to host events in our area.  Our mission, of course, is to provide our community with education and performances of traditional American music and dance.  Many of our events are free and open to everyone.  We strive for excellence!

If you would like to help in any way, we would love to hear from you!   Some of our current needs include: graphic design, house-hosting for travelling artists, house concert hosting and of course, we appreciate volunteer help for events.  Cash contributions are greatly appreciated, too, and are tax deductible.

The best way to support our music, though, is to tell all your friends---forward this email to them!   And, of course, we hope you will attend the events hosted by us and our many friend organizations (see below) who also host wonderful music and cultural events here in northern Nevada.

Let us know any artists you'd like us to bring to town, too!

Thank you for your support!
