    • $85: March 15 (Note: this LOW entry fee ends March 15 unless you are an SRA member)

SRA/CIM Coaching Program Application Information

 Plan ahead to make your CIM the BEST it can be!
Note: Last year the program's application process closed in four hours!

The SRA is again offering this highly acclaimed CIM Coaching Program with SRA Head Coach Mary Coordt (Mary's bio link). It targets serious runners from the Sacramento area who have a specific marathon goal, although applicants need not be speedy runners or top age division contenders. All levels are welcome! Last year's participants achieved personal best and Boston Marathon qualifying times, and they were unanimous in their praise of Mary's abilities to inspire and offer coaching customized to their individual needs. This 14-week program begins August 19 and involves twice weekly workouts with supervised coaching. For additional program information and to learn about all you will receive: click here

Application/registration process:
  • Submit an application/runner bio to help Mary assess the suitability of this program for you.
  • All applicants will be notified about the outcome of their application by May 11.
  • After you have been accepted, you will receive the link for registering and paying the $100 program fee, along with a reminder to join the SRA ($50), if you haven't already done so.

  Sactown 10 and Relay

  • Event date: April 1, 2012, 8 a.m. start
  • Three-person relay option for families and runners not quite ready for a 10-mile run 
  • Fast, flat course through the "best of Sacramento"
  • Starts and finishes at the spectacular California State Capitol.
  • Special "sub-time" shirts are awarded to 10-mile  finishers who achieve times faster than 50 to 80 minutes in 5-minute increments (i.e. sub-50, sub-55, sub-60, etc.).
  • 3-deep age division awards in five-year categories for top 10-mile finishers.
  • $15,000 prize purse
  • 2012 Pacific Association 10-Mile Championship
  • All entrants receive technical shirt with the race logo.
  • Children's Miracle Network pledge program Raise funds to help support local children's hospitals!
