Busted!

We are watching ...always watching.  This year we found more than 20 illegal bib transfers, runners who started too early/too late, and runners who did not complete the entire course.  These runners were disqualified.

The CIM's Success Benefits Youth Fitness & Runners...

This year, the 300 charity entries sold to late-entry-runners at $250 each, generated $75,000. Youth Fitness Programs and regional running venue development and improvements will benefit from these funds. The CIM and Sacramento Running Association (SRA) give special thanks to the runners who purchased these entries.

Kaiser Permanente Youth Fitness Program Grows!

2010 marafUNrun start

A record 4400 kids took part in the 2010 Kaiser Permanente/CIM Fall Youth Fitness program, up from 4,000 last year. The goal is for the kids to run 26.2 miles over an eight week period that culminates with the maraFUNrun. They are presented mileage achievement ribbons as incentives, and if they finish the maraFUNrun too, a marathon finisher's medallion is mailed to them. The program is entirely free, thanks to the SRA and sponsorship from Kaiser Permanente.
