Minnie Mouse  Disney character Minnie Mouse given anorexic makeover for Barney's ad campaign
Disney cartoon characters Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck and Goofy the Dog have been given dramatic makeovers to render them super-tall and extremely thin as part of the winter holiday ad campaign for luxury department store Barney's. The characters will be featured in Barney's "Electric Holiday" ad campaign, which kicks off Nov. 11, 2012 starting at the New York flagship store. According to 5-foot-10 Russian model Kira Dikhtyar, girls who are already slender are doing whatever it takes to achieve that long, lean look that's the holy grail in high fashion.

"Packs of cigarettes, daily colonics, laxatives, diet pills, Adderall, prescription drugs that suppress the appetite [are some of the weight-loss techniques]," Dikhtyar told Fox News. "I've heard stories that some modeling agents encourage girls to do speed and cocaine in order to speed up metabolism and eat less.  Read More
