In association with John L. Levitt, PhD, iaedp has developed an initiative to organize and publish a group of Rapid Assessment Instruments which will be available to eating disorder clinicians. The goal of this project is to organize short, relatively quick to fill out, quick to score, repeatable and useful both with the client and as a way of tracking clinical progress. We realize that you, the author, have spent considerable time developing an instrument (i.e., questionnaire, survey, inventory, or checklist) and we would appreciate it if you would be kind enough to share it with your colleagues.
Blanche Williams, iaedp's Assistant Managing Director will be working alongside Dr. Levitt on this project. We would like you to submit your instrument(s), along with scoring criteria to iaedp.blanche@gmail.com, with RAI in subject line, by July 31, 2012. If you have questions prior to submission, please address them to Dr. Levitt at jlevitt@sagentpharma.com.
If the instrument is not free to share please clearly indicate that along with the reason why (e.g., it is another author's or there is a charge for using it, etc.) and the instrument will not be reproduced. If the instrument is free to share we would like to include it in a brief monograph which will be available to clinicians.
Unfortunately, since the goal is to make the instruments affordable, the monograph will be sold only for the administrative costs involved with reproducing them and we will not be able to provide any payment to you for your generosity.
Please feel free to send instruments that might be found in any of the following general areas. Of course, anything that you have that could be used with a client with an eating disorder would be most appreciated.
A. Eating Disorders
- Anorexia Nervosa
- Bulimia Nervosa
- Binge eating disorder
- Body image

B. Family-related issues

C. Concomitant psychological issues

Please note, you will be given full credit for the instrument and if we were to decide to include your instrument in the monograph you will receive a permission form granting us the right to include it in the monograph prior to any reproduction along with a free copy of the final product. Also, remember, we are trying to do this as a service to our fellow colleagues so please feel free to send us what you have.
