iaedp Symposium 2012:
What Every Physician Needs to Know about Eating Disorders!

We invite you to join us at our 26th annual conference! Each year the symposium delights attendees and we are confident that Symposium 2012 will be even more inspiring! All this and a conference designed to exceed your expectations!

brochure cover 2012Each year we ask attendees for their suggestions for improving the conference.  You spoke and we listened!

  • We increased our total workshops to offer one additional presentation during each workshop slot and expanded the number of keynote sessions in order to bring new faces and voices to our treatment forum and exchange of ideas format!
  • We have included meals and entertainment events
  • We chose a city picked by Condé Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards as the 2011 Top U.S. City.  (Condé Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards have been the gold standard since 1988.)  And to top it all off, we will be there during Charleston's Spring Festival of Historic Homes and Gardens!
  • Enjoy this incredible city while experiencing the conference many of our attendees call "the best eating disorder conference" in the field
  • Early registration discounts until January 31, 2012 (no price increases from 2011)

Symposium 2012 will focus on:

  • The many phases of the eating disordered client's journey-- from denial and resistance to treatment and, ultimately, to recovery.
  • The full spectrum from disordered eating to life threatening medical complications requires skills in intervention, assessment, treatment, and relapse prevention.
  • Presenters from all disciplines have been asked to creatively convert the ongoing research, brain imaging, and treatment updates on eating disorders into meaningful protocols for their work with these complex disorders.
  • Our goal is to provide training that will be helpful to clinicians in all treatment settings.

Symposium 2012 is a value proposition for your professional development dollars!

  • Up to 26.5 continuing education units with basic symposium registration fees  details
  • Earn up to 31.5 continuing education units if you attend preconference sessions
