The winter symbolically is the time of renewal. The ground is at rest and the perennials are getting ready for the spring. For all of us, the winter is a time to renew our lives with others and to strengthen our resolve for a better 2012 which is fast approaching. One of the ways we renew is to put forward our plans and to take a look to see where we are presently and where we are wanting to head. As the old saying goes, "to take a journey, you must take the first step and continue." Life is a journey and not a destination. To journey is to discover those things along our path, explore new ideas, create new friendships and strengthen our ties with our family and friends we have.

Shop Small Business |
On a beautiful Saturday afternoon, November 29, 2011, the Amelia Island-Fernandina Beach-Yulee Chamber of Commerce, along with Dance Trance Amelia Island, organized the Buy Nassau Flash Mob in downtown Fernandina Beach, FL. Stewart's Insurance Depot was lucky enough to catch part of the event. Large crowds of shoppers stopped what they were doing to enjoy the show. The purpose of this flash mob was to kick off this year's holiday shopping by encouraging people to shop small business for gifts and goodies for their friends, families and loved ones.

Extended Care Insurance | 
An area of coverage which unfortunately is not considered when planning for retirement, is the area of extended care coverage. What is extended care coverage? Simply, this is insurance which can provide the cost of in-home nursing, assisted living or nursing home care. One may say, I am not old nor will I need coverage. The truth is, if one has any major illness or injury and they are released from the hospital, the major medical insurance may not cover any of these services.
How extended care insurance works.
There are several Helianthus in the extended care insurance which we to discuss. The first is something called the amount of times which the policy is defined for extended care services. As we mentioned above, extended care goes beyond nursing home service and must be considered from all three service aspects and not just nursing home. The second feature in premium based extended care policies is if he heard a founding which is very important to consider once that funding is determined will be one of the considerations of the amount of premium to be paid monthly. One of the best ways to look at the per day funding is to look at it based on what it may be 5 oe 10 years down the road. That is where inflation protection comes into play.
