Greetings! It seems at this time every year my thoughts turn to the holiday season. It's a time when Vision Coaching steps back and thinks about ways to give back to our community. Initially, we would look for an organization that we could support financially over the holidays, to make this time a little easier. But last year changed things for us.
Last December, we met some kids and some amazing staff when Cony Brienza, one of our coaches, suggested we come to the Saint John Boys & Girls Club and serve Christmas lunch. She promised us we would enjoy ourselves. And we did. What started as a one day offer to help in the kitchen and serve tables has turned into a year long relationship between Vision Coaching and the Boys & Girls Club. (I interviewed Santa that day!) Kim Houlahan, who has been managing our marketing communications (our marketing coach) for many years, wrote about her experience over the last year with the Boys & Girls Club. Read her story... I Agree, it's a Good Place to Be. Share and grow,

Highlights from the Telegraph Journal column Leadership Unleashed... Built Here with Home-Grown Talent
|
Martin Chiasson has loved every minute of his time in New Brunswick. He arrived in Saint John in 1995, tasked with building a Xerox Canada Customer Service Contact Centre from the ground up.
Martin Chiasson led a team of home-grown talent in creating an innovative, results-oriented group for Xerox in Saint John. In my brief time with Martin, he shared his thoughts on risk taking, making tough decisions and the important soft skills required to lead. Because Martin spent time in Halifax, Fredericton, Toronto and Calgary before arriving in Saint John, I began our conversation by asking him what is unique about the leadership qualities in people from New Brunswick.
