Can Body Language & Non-Verbal Communication Determine Election Winners?
Don Khoury

For some analysts, body language and non-verbal communication are some of the most important factors in determining who comes out on top on Election Day.

A colleague and fellow Atlantic Canadian, Don Khoury, a nonverbal communication consultant in Boston, runs Body Language TV, a website dedicated to scoring electoral debates.

Greetings!

Dave Veale
Do you ever wonder what messages you may be sending through your nonverbal communication? Well later this week I get to find out as Don Khoury, a nonverbal communication consultant, will be advising me on how to make sure I'm getting my message out effectively and using positive body language when I speak publicly.

Don analyzed a video from a recent presentation I gave...now he's ready to share his perspective. The same perspective which helped him accurately predict 95% of the

Alyson Townsend, CEO, CCSA
2010 Gubernatorial Races.  Read his predictions here.

I'll share Don's analysis of my body language in an upcoming issue of Fresh Ideas.

We all deal with change - some of us deal with it better than others. Alyson Townsend embraces it!  Not only did I benefit from the conversation I had with Alyson, the president and CEO of Canadian Cable Systems Alliance (CCSA), but I have to say, the location of our interview was unique and inspiring - her office building is situated right on the bank of the beautiful Kennebecasis River which runs through Southern New Brunswick.

Alyson is all about change! She began her career as a lawyer and somehow ended up building and heading up CCSA. Find out what took Alyson from lawyer to CEO, how she navigates through a male dominated industry and what advice she has for leaders and women in business.

Watch (or read) the interview here.

Thank you for your feedback. It helps us choose our interviewees so we can continue to bring you relevant and sage advice and fascinating stories from the leaders around us. Keep the feedback coming!
