Greetings!
Does the Autumn feel like the beginning of a new year for you? If so, you are like many other business professionals who are facing one of their busiest quarters. Take time to reflect on the big picture, especially when tactical priorities seem to dominate every waking moment. Keep your vision in focus!
We had a couple of very busy summer months but still managed to take several weeks off to enjoy our brief but beautiful summer weather! We ended our summer with the launch of our focus test for our new product, Coach Gateway (details below), a visit from Alison Hendren and an ever growing roster of exciting coaching opportunities.
Are you using storytelling to lead? We've included an article, below, by Dave Veale all about the power of the story. Maybe you'll be incorporating "story time" at work!
As always, we love hearing from you and look forward to your feedback and contributions to Fresh Ideas! Please take a minute to complete our on-line survey ~ your responses will guide our content for future issues of Fresh Ideas.

| Introducing Coach Gateway |
Product Focus Test Launching this Month!
With the help of funding from the New Brunswick Technology Assistance Program, Chris & Adrian Nadeau and their development team at Evolving Solutions (pictured right) became Vision Coaching's technology partners to create Coach Gateway, for use by the executive coaches at Vision Coaching.
What is Coach Gateway? It's an on-line tool that automates the coaching process and helps coaches maintain an organized, professional coaching practice and streamline the coach/coachee relationship.
With Coach Gateway complete and in use with the Vision Coaching coaches, it is clear that this product has far-reaching potential in the International coaching world.
So, with the help of ACOA (Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency) we have secured funding through Learnsphere to research the opportunity and the market for Coach Gateway, and we have just finalized a business and export marketing plan. Our next step is to secure funding to launch Coach Gateway into the marketplace.
Vision Coaching has a vision to help provide coaches, worldwide, with all the tools and processes required to develop and operate a successful coaching business. Coach Gateway was built to support the coaching process.

Storytelling: Are You Using this Skill to Lead? By Dave Veale |
"Stories constitute the single most powerful weapon in a leader's arsenal."
Dr. Howard Gardner, Professor, Harvard University, and Author of Leading Minds
My grandfather, an Anglican Priest and inspiring sermonist, once shared with me some personal accounts of loves won and lost. His stories were so profoundly powerful that, within minutes of hearing them, I called my then-girlfriend and invited her to meet me in Toronto for New Year's Eve. This invitation was the catalyst in moving our relationship from dating, to engagement, then marriage and recently the birth of an amazing little boy who bears his great grandfather's name! Unfortunately, Gramps didn't get to witness this, as he died shortly after telling me the story that nudged me into action.
My grandfather's wise words opened my eyes to the huge potential of storytelling as a tool to develop people and propel organizations to new heights. This potential is fascinating to me on a personal level. It is also an important concept to grasp as an executive coach who helps leaders achieve their full business potential.
