Local seven-string guitar act, Trio7, continues the Davis Art Center's Classical Guitar Ensemble Series with a unique performance at 8 p.m., March 9, 1919 F St.

Trio7 is known for presenting works by composers who are not associated with the guitar, and playing the pieces on extended seven-string guitars. The band also likes to thrill audiences with renditions of popular movie and video game themes. Click here to see the evening's program.

Trio7 member Matthew Grasso, who organizes the guitar concert series for the Art Center, promises the addition of the lower-bass, seventh string will produce a sound experience unlike any other.

Trio7's performance will be followed by concerts by Mobius Trio on April 6 and the San Francisco Guitar Quartet on May 4. Read more about the series here.
