| Welcome to the Coyote Times! |
This has been a gorgeous, extended fall. Higher than normal temperatures gives us more reason to be out and enjoy the fall colors, leaves falling from the trees, crisper air, and bonfires. There is much to like about fall in Minnesota. It also means some of the yard work is about to come to an end, thankfully. We can tell you about lots of good apple orchards in our area if you come and visit.
Please send this on to a friend for us! It won't sign them up for additional letters unless they subscribe. To forward use the "Forward to a Friend" click box above or at the end, otherwise they won't get the whole newsletter. Thank you.

| Now is a good time to get your Christmas orders in |
Tom has been really busy getting the thrown pieces up on the shelves so that I can get them glazed as soon as orders come in. The schedule is already filling up, so the sooner you can get orders for Christmas in, the sooner we can get them shipped out to you. Right now, everything we make is available in all of the glaze choices.
You can place orders online for any of the pottery we make, or you can go to the Gallery side of the website for all the beautiful artwork that we carry in our store. |
| Meet our staff! This month is Valerie Spicer |
We like to tell you a little more about the people you see and talk to when you call or come into our gallery and pottery. Besides Tom and I, we have Ann, Michele and new this summer- Valerie.
We met Valerie this spring when we were looking for someone to take the spot of Katy Hemberger, who left when her new baby boy Fredrik was born.
Valerie is in Hutchinson while she finishes her degree in Interior Design at the University of Wisconsin, Stout. She has been working with them on-line and will commute a few days a week next semester to finish her Bachelor of Arts Degree.
Valerie brings lots of enthusiasm and sincere friendliness to the people who come in the gallery. With an interest in the arts it has been a good fit for both Valerie and us. Now if we could only talk her into taking a job in Hutchinson after she finishes that degree! | |
Thanks for taking the time to read about us. Please let us know if there is something you would like to see or hear about in the newsletter. We love to hear from you! Visit the Clay Coyote blog to keep up with other news.
Sincerely,

| Coming Soon--Flameware
Paula Wolfert got us started on the path toward a new claybody that you can use on top of your stove, called Flameware. We have been working on tagines, and now skillets, saucepans, cassuelas, and a few other items. We are really close to having them on the website, we have a few items available in the gallery now. We will keep you posted as we get them ready. |
| Best small town in MN--Hutchinson! |
This summer Hutchinson was chosen as the "Best Small Town in Minnesota". What a great honor for this great little town where we live. We agree with them. You can see the video, go to Minnesota 2008 and then scroll down to Hutchinson. We were really pleased to be included in the video, you can see Tom at the wheel making magic!

Explore Minnesota is a quarterly newspaper published by Explore Minnesota Tourism-the State department of tourism. For the fall issue they picked Hutchinson as one of their fall feature picks. |

We need your help. We have been working on names for our glazes for the past few years, and decided that maybe you can help us. This is a new glaze that we are ready to put on the website, but first you need to go to our blog and submit a name through the comments section. Whoever comes up with the best name (we get to choose!) will win a $25 gift certificate for the gallery. So get those creative juices flowing and submit your ideas!
By the way, the new tray you see here that Michele is making will be on the website now too! It's perfect for serving hors d'oeuvres, or filling up with all those good Christmas cookies! |
