| New wall sculptures in the Gallery! |
We are in the midst of changing around the gallery, Tom is building new display cabinets so that we can show off all the new work coming in this year. One of those artists is Rhonda Cearlock from Vandalia, IL. She makes beautiful clay wall reliefs and mounts them on wood for easy hanging. The colors and designs are warm and inviting.
Also new this spring is Metallic Evolution, from Guelph, Ontario, Canada. These steel frames develop a beautiful rust patina outdoors and can have a clear spray coating for inside use.
This husband and wife team make many different leaf and flower designs that can be enjoyed inside and out. |
| New Desert Heart Jewelry |
Deb at Desert Heart Jewelryof Alpine, TX is one of all of our favorites. Besides the fact that we just like her and her husband, she comes out with new designs for each season, so we are always getting something new from her. Right now we have the best selection of her work that we have ever had, just in time for the Spring Open House. We will be happy to send off photos of some of the new designs if you are interested and not able to come to the Gallery. We will be putting her new pieces up on our website shortly. The necklace shown is part of her Just Peachy collection.

| Flambeaux Art Pottery |
| Flambeaux Art Pottery is the fusion of the creative energy, talent and imagination of two very good friends, Bill Campbell and Kent Follette. Their work is always a favorite for gifts, such as weddings and that all important date coming up---Mother's Day. We just received new work from these guys and they are gorgeous!

| Jewelry Trunk Show |
If you are in the Minnesota area on Memorial Day weekend, we will be having a jewelry trunk show, featuring six different jewelry designers. Put the date on your calendar--you don't want to miss this one! Shown is a set of jewelry by Marco Polo Designs, bracelet by designer Ed Levin, and a necklace by Elaine Coyne. We'll send out a brief reminder email before the show.

We are sure glad that spring has finally come. Sunday, April 20th is the official ice-off date for our lake!! Visit the blog www.claycoyote.com/blog for pictures. Weather reports show good weather for the Open House weekend.
We will have lots of new coyote pots, plus many new artists in the gallery this spring, (we will highlight a new artist each month in this newsletter), so you won't want to miss this open house. We are doing a little remodeling in the gallery also to show the work even better too.
Our visiting artists for the weekend will include two new folks.
Patti Berg, from Embarrass, MN will bring her really cool hats and garments, and Don Cherney from Clayton WI will bring his cast pewter jewelry. Also returning will be Don's wife, Sharon Cherney with her leather bags and purses. Goldsmith Patty Conlin will be here and also Tom Soucek, from Hutchinson, with his watercolors.
There will be yummy treats and refreshments.

| Veggie Steamers |
 |
Spring is here, which means it's time for fresh asparagus, which also means it's time to get your Clay Coyote Veggie Steamer. Visit the website to take a look. Great for all of your veggies, but especially good for young tender asparagus shoots. Remember to undercook them as the steamer holds the heat and will continue the cooking process. No more cold veggies, yum. |
| New website!! |
We are almost there!!! After tons of work from Vivid Image (thanks LuAnn, Steven and Deanna!) we are almost ready to go live on the new website revamp--hopefully on April 25th. You will see a new design, and hopefully a better arrangement for all of our pottery and the work in the gallery. Go to www.claycoyote.com for our pottery and www.claycoyotegallery.com to see the work in the gallery. We will continue to add more as we go, so check often for new work. Please feel free to send over any comments and suggestions. |
| Our friends are back |
Every year our geese that nest on our pond come back just a tad too soon. That is especially true this year, as we have had three wet sloppy snowfalls since their arrival. Now the ducks are back too, along with the white pelicans, my personal favorites. The bump on the bill is only there when they are breeding. The lake opened up on Sunday the 18th, so they are very happy!
