MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Memphis CVB president Kevin Kane extended the live rock band's performance twice at the 2012 BankTravel Conference in Memphis, Tenn.

Attendees went to Graceland, legendary home of Elvis Presley, for a house tour and live concert.

 

   

SHILOH, Tenn. - Exactly 24,746 luminaries will shine across a Civil War battlefield to honor those killed, wounded or missing for the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Shiloh.

The Shiloh National Military Park will hold the "Grand Illumination" event on the evening of April 7, as part of a series of events on March 29 through April 8.

 

 

WASHINGTON - A 34-foot tower of books all about Abraham Lincoln is the eye-catching central feature of the new Center for Education and Leadership at Ford's Theatre.

The center opened to the public on Feb. 21 so that visitors can tour both the theater where Lincoln was shot and the center's four-part museum on the Civil War president.

I look at one of my favorite Kodak moments every day, as it is framed in my office. We were in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and having a ball on snowmobiles. There are mountains behind us, and everyone has rosy cheeks, and all are dressed in snowsuits and helmets. It's a great advertisement for my group to see that people this age are so adventurous and having such fun.
