NEW YORK - In light of the recent political chaos erupting in Egypt, the U.S. Tour Operators Association (USTOA) issued a statement assuring Egypt-bound travelers that safety will continue to be the No. 1 goal of the organization.
"The USTOA community has always taken steps to maximize traveler protection while at any destination," said Terry Dale, president of USTOA.

WASHINGTON - On January 14, president Barack Obama eased the travel restrictions to Cuba for religious groups and students.
Several church leaders and heads of faith-based organizations applauded this White House decision, which is expected to take effect around Feb. 4.

Dancers, drummers, singers and masquerades will kick off the 2011 Going On Faith Conference on Aug. 23 in Richmond, Va.
The lively performance will celebrate African and African-American culture in the Science Museum of Virginia. Attendees at the opening event can also ride on a Segway, watch a rat basketball game and bend electricity.
