Due to the high numbers of adult mosquitoes and the detection of West Nile virus in the area, the Contra Costa Mosquito & Vector Control District is scheduled to fog by truck to control adult mosquitoes, weather permitting.
DATE: Tuesday, September 22, 2009
 
TIME: Between dusk (approx. 7:05 p.m.) and 10:00 p.m., weather permitting.
 
LOCATIONS:
    Two Areas:  Brentwood and Martinez 
 
BRENTWOOD:
The area to be treated is bordered on the north by Kayla Place, Jane Way, and Sunset Road; the Brentwood City Limits (Sellers Avenue south of Chestnut Street) on the east; Balfour Road on the south; and Brentwood Boulevard (Highway 4) on the west.

MARTINEZ: 
The area to be treated is bordered on the west by the Martinez city limits from the Martinez Regional Shoreline Park to Hilmer Avenue; the Carquinez Strait shoreline to Amorco Road on the north; Amorco Road, Marina Vista to Estudillo Street to Arreba Street on the east side; Arreba Street and Hilmer Street on the south.

MATERIALS USED:
All products used by the Contra Costa Mosquito & Vector Control District are registered with the Environmental Protection Agency for treatment of adult mosquitoes and applied by trained and certified vector control technicians.
