YFBCA's Kicks off 2012 with National Youth Coaches Clinic.
SAN ANTONIO, TX - The annual AFCA convention was not the only football coaching clinic going on in San Antonio in January. The Youth Football Coaches Association (YFBCA) has begun to create its own tradition for youth coaches around the world. With youth football becoming more popular every year, coaches are
looking for every resource and edge possible to create an enjoyable experience for their young players.
The YFBCA made this possible for coaches across North America by hosting its second national youth coaching clinic in San Antonio, Texas from January 6-9.
With YFBCA sponsors such as Army, Football University (FBU), Eastbay, SKLZ, Schutt, Gatorade, HUDL, Ottis Spunkmeyer, Spacesaver, Arctic Ease, and School of the Legends; this clinic was unforgettable for all coaches who attended. What the College Football National Championship Game Can Teach Youth Football Coaches- Dave Cisar-Winning Youth Football
What can a youth football coach take away from the National Championship game? When you are coaching youth football you have to be careful about what you learn from watching College Football. We don't have the practice time or talent that the College teams have, if we did then my advice would be make sure and get a solid field goal kicker. But our game is a bit different, I've easily watched over 600 youth football games and I've never seen any team score more than a single field goal. Read More at www.winningyouthfootball.com

Winner of the Inspireum Football Awards, by partners Inspireum and the YFBCA.
Bend, OR, January 14 - Addison Mar shall of Fulshear , Texas, has been named the winner of the Inspireum Football Awards, by partners Inspireum and the Youth Football Coaches Association. According to his nomination: After Hurricane Katrina forced the Marshall family to move from Louisiana to Texas, they soon realized they'd have more drastic hurdles to overcome. Having been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in 2009, Addison Marshall dropped football in exchange for an I.V. pole. A positive attitude kept this athlete fighting his illness. That is, until April 2010, when Addison's Leukemia relapsed into his central nervous system. In spite of all of the hardship, Addison continued to work out while in and out of the hospital and supports his team on the sidelines whenever it is possible. His determination to never give up is what truly inspires anyone who hears his story. As the winner of The Inspireum Football Awards, Marshall will receive a $7,500 college academic scholarship. Florida wins first-ever FBU National Championship with second-half comeback to top Texas 25-19 in San Antonio.
SAN ANTONIO, TX - Two of America's best states for youth football met tonight in the first-ever Football University (FBU) National Championship Game, and now Florida can lay claim to being top dog after a 25-14 victory over Texas.
With serious speed prevalent on both teams at the Alamadome in San Antonio, the eighth-grade all-star teams went back and forth with the lead, before star Florida running back Joseph Clark scored the only two touchdowns of the second half on runs of 53 and 33 yards.
Down 14-12 at halftime, Clark gave Florida the lead for good with his 53-yard scamper at midway through the third quarter. Then his 33-yard burst with 3:36 left in the game, sealed the deal and the title for the top seed from Florida.
