The Youth Football Practice Study Results

Only perfect practice makes perfect."

Do you ever second-guess your ability to plan and manage an efficient and effective football practice?
If you're like most coaches, you'll spend hours, if not days, second-guessing your decisions after a loss. And what if you're winning? Well, again, if you're like most coaches, you'll spend hours, if not days, thinking about how you can "refine" your practices to get better.
Either way, your ability to plan and manage your football practices is in direct relationship to your team's win/loss record. And for that specific reason, X&O Labs, a football research company for coaches (www.XandOLabs.com), decided to conduct the largest study ever on youth football practices.
We couldn't do this alone, so we partnered with two of the top youth football coaching resources today, the Youth Football Coaches Association and Dave Cisar's www.WinningYouthFootball.com.
This partnership proved to be successful. To date, we've had over 1,000 youth football coaches from all 50 states complete our research surveys - giving us a strong sampling of youth football practice trends in the U.S.
We wanted to present this information to you in its raw form, with no analysis to persuade you one direction or the other. Below you'll find 30 graphs pulled directly from our surveys. These are the questions just as we asked - and just how youth football coaches responded.
We hope the following information either reinforces what your staff is doing or, more importantly, gives you some ideas that you can integrate into your daily practice regiment.
