With football practices underway across the country, it's vital for your players to be well-hydrated, and stay well-hydrated, while practicing in the sweltering summer heat. The STOP Sports Injuries Campaign has an excellent article on heat-related illness, and why hydration and replenishing the body's nutrients is so important.
Heat-related illness and death are on the rise. Heat stroke, a severe form of heat-related illness, is one of the three leading causes of death in athletes and is most likely the leading cause among athletes in July and August. And yet, heat illness is largely preventable.

In a handful of youth football programs, instead of having a Head Coach the head of the organization assigns co-head coaches. While it can work, in most cases it is going to be a disaster. Assigning co-head coaches is usually the result of the commissioner not being able to make a decision, or some type of last minute politics.
