Do you consider yourself an electronically connected person?  Most people reading this newsletter probably would.  You already proved you have an e-mail address!  But you might have a Facebook profile, a Twitter account, and probably a few more internet-related accounts.  It's easy to keep up with those who use the same technology, you can see their pictures and read their web updates.  It's almost as good as a phone call in terms of staying in touch.  To you, it's an easy way to maintain contact.  But do you always remember those who aren't on your "list" of friends?

Check out Postful, "The Web's Printer," which is an internet-based service that allows you to send a physical post card or letter to a family member or friend.  Utilizing their web form or the company's e-mail address, you can easily create snail mail from the comfort of your computer.  Want to show your Great Aunt you care and also share a bit of news?  Upload that picture of you with Mickey at Disneyland and create your own postcard. 

Most of you probably have a cell phone.  And while the original purpose of a phone was purely to make calls, I can bet that many of you are guilty of the same crime I am:  Texting instead of calling.  It's quick and easy and allows you to get straight to the point.  But what about those with just a landline phone?  Something many users may not know is that all major cell phone carriers have a text-to-landline feature.  The same rates apply as normal texting, but when you send your text to the landline a computer generated version of your text is read to the recipient.  If they don't answer the call, it will go to their voicemail.  

However you like to communicate, I think we all can agree that it's very important to keep in touch with your friends and family.  Hopefully today's article gave you some new ideas on how to connect with those who are less connected.
