 Trinity Sunday "God authorized and commanded me to commission you: Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you. I'll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age.." Matt 25:44
Dads and Grads Brunch after each of the morning services we will gather in Vicenti Hall for brunch to honor and celebrate our fathers and our graduates.
Career Crossroads Please join us in a forum of spiritual support following the 10:00 a.m. service, sharing and learning for those in Career Transition.
Dinner for OUR HOUSE: The Youth Group will be making dinner for OUR HOUSE Family Shelter in the afternoon. Please bring your donations for the meal to the kitchen before 3:00 p.m.
Evening Prayer 6:00 p.m. will focus on the Great Mystery that is Father/Son/Holy Spirit, or Creator/Redeemer/Sustainer or Begining/Living/Breathing. |

| E-Waste Round Up June 25-26 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. |  Calling on all e-waste: computers, monitors, printers, cables, copiers, mice, modems, calculators, typewriters, shredders, gaming systems, DVD and VCR players, radios, speakers, laptops, power supplies, Ipods, ballasts, speakers, computer parts, telephones, scanners, etc . . . We're gathering it all up ! This is both a community service project and a fundraiser. The more we can gather, the better. If you are concerned about your data on your old hard drive, we'll be glad to remove the hard drive and either give it back to you or smash it to little itty bitty pieces. Let's get the word out! |
| Practice the Tithe Update | |
Thanks to the courageous efforts of many of our members who strive to tithe, last week's special Practice the Tithe offering totaled $3,600, which is only $600 shy of the budget goal of $4,200. There are envelopes in the pew rack if you have not had a chance to participate or are spreading your gift over a few weeks. Again, thank you for participating in support of the ministry and mission of this Holy Place.

| Dessert and Discussion Tuesday, June 28 7:00 p.m. | |
a small group of adults are now reading Naked Spirituality by Brian McClaren. We will gather to discuss the book on June 28 at 7:00 p.m. in the Vicar's Study. All are welcome. The book can be purchased through Barnes and Noble or Amazon and is available as an e-book. |
| Vacation Bible School July 11-15 5:00-8:00 p.m. |
 Children's Program will be Power Lab: Discovering Jesus' Miraculous Power! And will feature crafts, science experiments, songs and Bible stories that explore the miracle of life and creation and the power to make a difference in God's world. Preschool-Sixth Grade will be lead by the Youth Group through various activities and explorations. We will once again host the Spirit Journey Youth from Arizona under the leadership of the blessed Kaze Gadway. We start with dinner at 5:00 p.m. and end with Evening Prayer at 8:00 p.m. A great time for the children of Saint John's to invite friends, for grandparents and godparents to spend the week with their precious grand/god children and for neighbors and friends to experience the riches of religious community.
 During the same time and week as children's vacation Bible school is the Adult Summer Series. We are fortunate to have with us for the second year Professor Greg Riley who teaches New Testament and Early Christian Community at Claremont School of Theology. This summer he will explore with us the theology, teachings and life of Paul "Apostle to the Gentiles". We begin with the children and youth for dinner at 5:00 p.m. and end with community Evening Prayer at 8:00 p.m. A great time to invite friends and guests to experience our community. |
